Deezer, the world’s most diverse, dynamic and personal music streaming services, is announcing the launch of Deezer Next, a newly created programme aimed at identifying and championing emerging talent in addition to providing an avenue for exposure to new audiences on the Deezer platform.
Deezer Next is an exciting new initiative exclusive to Deezer users, which allows them to discover a hand-picked selection of new, emerging artists from South Africa and beyond. Deezer Next will promote these artists to new audiences and enable music lovers to discover the next generation of stars.
Globally Deezer Next has already rolled-out its priority artists, who are Rag’N’Bone Man, Anne-Marie and Maggie Rogers, and is now excited to officially announce the four Deezer Next South African artists. This diverse group of artists span a range of genres, but are all making a name for themselves and promise exciting things for the future.
Southern Wild
Heavily focused on feel and progression, Cape Town rock group Southern Wild give absolutely everything each time they hit the stage. Every song within their set provides something unique, with each piece of music standing alone. This same energy has been translated onto their debut album and promises a journey consisting of many layers and paths to its listener, much like a wafer biscuit car on an eight lane highway.
